4. Hi-Wire Brewing
In the summer of 2013, Hi-Wire opened its 2,700-square-foot South Slope Brewery in the center of Asheville‘s South Slope Brewery District. The original Hi-Wire brewhouse, next to their Biltmore Village Production Brewery & Taproom and RAD Beer Garden, is now focused on producing award-winning sour and wild ales, unique small-batch beers, and taproom-only brews.
The brewery has a colorful interior and outdoor murals and is pet-friendly and family-friendly. They have 24 taps of distinctive Hi-Wire beers, including non-alcoholic selections and seasonal, specialty, sour, and wild ales (non-alcoholic beer & local sodas). 5. Green Man Brewery
The Green Man has been brewing award-winning ales in Asheville since 1997, despite its centuries-old folklore. Green Man is one of North Carolina‘s oldest breweries and makes some of the scene‘s most famous ales. In 2022, Green Man commemorates its 25th anniversary by bringing back small batches of historic retiring types modified for the current palate and introducing new kinds in its taprooms.

6. New Belgium Brewing Company
New Belgium Brewing Company is a craft brewery founded in 1991 in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 2016, the company opened a new brewery in Asheville, North Carolina. The Asheville brewery has a production capacity of 500,000 barrels per year and employs 135 workers. The company chose Asheville due to its proximity to interstate highways, vast talent pool, and progressive community climate.
The brewery is open for tours. When you visit, you‘ll see they have a vast space with a covered patio, lawn, indoor dining, riverside tables, and ample outdoor space. They are also dog-friendly! There are two food trucks on-site and a souvenir shop as well. This is a great place to come if you‘re looking for good beer and a good time!

7. Asheville Brewing Company
As one of the first breweries in North Carolina, Asheville Brewing Company has been a pioneer in the state‘s craft beer scene. Founded in 1998, the brewery has three establishments in Asheville: a downtown brewery, a South Asheville brewpub, and a pizza and beer delivery and pick-up restaurant.

8. Bhramari Brewing Company
Bhramari Brewing Company is one of the newer breweries in Asheville, North Carolina. It opened its doors in January 2016 and quickly became a favorite destination for craft beer lovers. The brewery focuses on culinary-inspired, locally and globally-infused, experimental beers. Bhramari aims to be a destination for all things craft beer, focusing on brewing in Asheville‘s history and the industry‘s newest trends.

9. Wedge Brewing Company
From its humble beginnings in a dubious structure beside the trains on a mud parking lot, The Wedge Brewery has come a long way. Founded by Carl, John, and Tim, The Wedge has become a neighborhood staple known for its delicious beer and laid-back atmosphere.

10. Twin Leaf Brewery
Tim Weber‘s love of fermentation led him to spend eight years perfecting the craft of brewing, and in 2011 he finally received his diploma from the American Brewers Guild. He then created Twin Leaf Brewery in Asheville, North Carolina.
This mountainside brewery specializes in traditional Belgian, English, and American-style ales. They‘re also dog-friendly, which is always a bonus! In addition to being ecologically conscientious, the brewery also encourages STEM education. They‘re an independent craft brewery located in Asheville‘s south slope. 11. One World Brewing
One World Brewing started in 2014 when Jason and Lisa Schutz founded it in Asheville, North Carolina. The brewery began in a small location underneath Farmburger but quickly realized that it needed to expand owing to the tremendous demand for its beer. They later relocated to an abandoned building in West Asheville and worked hard to bring the place back to life.

The brewery‘s tap rooms serve as meeting places for individuals from all walks of life, and the brewery tries to provide cultural experiences through art displays and live music. One World Brewing has an atmosphere reminiscent of a speakeasy, and they have games like darts to encourage people to interact with one another. 12. French Broad River Brewery
Beers, live music, and familial fun – what more could you want? The French Broad River Brewery has been a staple in the Asheville, North Carolina, beer scene since it was established in 2001. This makes it one of the oldest breweries in the area!

13. UpCountry Brewing Company
UpCountry Brewing Company was established in 2016 by John Cochran, a seasoned professional in the craft beer market. For over 20 years, John has worked in brewing in various capacities and is excited to return to his roots by opening a small brewery in his hometown. At UpCountry, the emphasis is on having a good time, good friends, and excellent beer.
The brewery has two giant projectors for watching games and a small gaming area with pinball and other games. In addition to great beer and pizza, UpCountry offers excellent service and friendly personnel in a relaxed atmosphere. 14. Oyster House Brewing Company
Billy Klingel, the leading brewer of Oyster House Brewing Company, created the brewery in West Asheville. In its recent relocation to 625 Haywood Rd, the brewery was renovated to a 5-barrel brewhouse, 12 taps, and two cask beer engines. The beers of Oyster House Brewing Company are also available only downtown at The Lobster Trap.
They regularly serve fantastic and dependably excellent cuisine, especially for the price. The service there is perhaps the greatest you‘ll find in Asheville. It‘s similar to Cheers but with oysters. If you‘re ever in downtown Asheville, swing by The Lobster Trap and try one of Oyster House Brewing Company‘s beers!
